We know how to live together. Now we expect the same sensitivity from the government and local administration and we want them to do their work in accordance with the law.

Since the Law on the Protection of Animals was enacted in 2004, this society has done its part much more duly than local governments. Today, the number of citizens who take care of the cats and dogs on their streets, treat them with their own means when they get sick, feed them, build them nests out of boxes and insulation materials in winter, sterilize them and release them back to where they were taken from is many times higher than it was 19 years ago. Photos of dogs sleeping in subway stations, shops, schools and offices, and cats wandering in mosques and hospitals clearly show that a large part of the society has become conscious. We have become conscious, we have done the work of local governments.

We know how to live together. Now we expect the same sensitivity from the government and local authorities and ask them to do their job in accordance with the law. Neuter, vaccinate, rehome, keep alive!

We reiterate once again: Without marginalizing anyone, human or non-human, by standing against hatred, we will live in this land together with our neighborhood residents as we always have.
