This cruelty, carried out under the name of live animal trade, is perpetuated under the misconception that it is necessary to exploit and kill animals. Livestock farming is one of the most powerful industries in the world. Based on exploitation and death, it is unconditionally supported by the media, education and legal systems. It means destruction for humans, other animals and the planet, and money for those who benefit from it. It is up to us not to demand this system.

"Two days ago, Lukas and Pavel and I were at the Edirne Kapıkule border to take photos of animals being brought from Europe to Turkey. During the day, 13 trucks carrying animals from Denmark, Germany and Romania entered Turkey. These cows are brought to dairy farms in Turkey, where they struggle to survive in cramped quarters with hunger, thirst, heat and many other difficult conditions. These cows you see in the photographs will first be kept pregnant for a few years, the milk they secrete for their offspring will be taken away, and then they will be sent to the slaughterhouse when their milk yield decreases or perhaps they suffer a disability. Why?"
